Teenage legspinner Tanveer Sangha left both coaches in awe while enhancing his case for higher honours, spinning NSW to a resounding 174-run win over Victoria on one-day debut.
Sangha snared 4-21 from 7.2 overs at the SCG as Victoria, pursuing a target of 345, collapsed to be all out for 170 in 32.2 overs.
Sangha has gone from strength to strength since making his BBL debut a year ago.
The 19-year-old was part of Australia's Twenty20 squad earlier this year, while his composure and control was remarkable last month on first-class debut
Sangha, buoyed by Adam Zampa's on-field mentorship after recently working alongside Test star Nathan Lyon, says he would love to be part of Australia's T20 World Cup defence on home soil next year.
"I'm definitely targeting every possible chance to put my name up higher and make my family proud," he said on Wednesday.
"I'm always trying to get to get to the international level.
"I love bowling with them (Zampa and Lyon), picking their brains ... I've talked with them and a few of the batters about things I need to work on.
"It's always such good experience when they're literally right next to you, at the top of your mark.
"They're so calm. You can ask them anything."
Sangha, forced to train by himself in pre-season because his local government area was under a strict lockdown, returned home from Australia's limited-overs tour with a clear message from selectors.
"Improve on your other skills - fielding, batting and stuff like that - and keep going with your bowling. Keep taking wickets," he said.
Victoria coach Chris Rogers, who mentored Sangha at under-19 level, described the young tweaker's consistency as "pretty incredible".
"He just doesn't miss," Rogers said.
"He's been fantastic.
"No doubt we're going to see a player who's going to do some very good things."
Fellow former Test opener Phil Jaques was likewise complimentary of Sangha.
"He's been unbelievable," NSW coach Jaques said.
"Any legspinner aged 19 would love to land it like he does. A lot of 30-year-old or 40-year-old legspinners would like to land it like he does."
Fellow emerging stars Baxter Holt, whose unbeaten 41 on debut featured consecutive sixes off James Pattinson, and Hayden Kerr (43) also excelled for NSW.
The Blues took 96 runs off their final 10 overs en route to a total of 7-344, their fourth highest one-day score.
Kerr then captured the scalps of captain Peter Handscomb and Jonathan Merlo.
Zampa, playing his first game for home state NSW since shifting to South Australia in 2013, finished with figures of 2-44.
