South Australia's Travis Head has become the first batsman to hit two double-centuries in Australian domestic one-dayers with a record-breaking knock against Queensland.
Head smashed 230 from just 127 balls in an extraordinary innings featuring 28 fours and eight sixes on Wednesday in Adelaide.
The lefthander's heroics inspired the Redbacks to their first win in any format since February last year.
After SA posted 8-389 from 48 overs, the Bulls were bowled out for 312 in 40.3 overs in a rain-affected match.
Head raced to his 100 from just 65 balls, the fastest-ever ton for SA in the one-day competition.
Opener Jake Weatherald made 97 from 103 balls but his innings was a sideshow to main event as Head pulverised Queensland's bowlers.
Head logged the second-highest individual score in domestic one-dayers, behind only Darcy Short's 257 for WA against Queensland in 2018.
The Redbacks skipper surpassed Tasmanian Ben Dunk's 229 against the Bulls in 2015 in reaching his second domestic one-day double-ton - he made 202 against WA in 2015.
Short and Dunk are the only other batsmen to have made domestic one-day double-centuries.
Head took just 38 balls to reach his half-century at Karen Rolton Oval - the ground where he made 163 in the drawn Sheffield Shield opener against WA late last month.
The 27-year-old then accelerated, taking another 27 balls to register his ninth domestic one-day century.
Head needed just 26 more balls to race from 100 to 150.
And he still improved his scoring rate by moving from 150 to 200 in only 23 deliveries - he reached his double-ton from just 114 balls, the fastest to the milestone in domestic cup history.
In reply, Queensland opener Sam Heazlett blasted 93 from 59 balls, hitting 11 fours and three sixes, but Usman Khawaja (12) and Marnus Labuschagne (six) failed.
Matthew Renshaw (52 from 53 balls) and Michael Neser, who struck five sixes in his 55 from 30 deliveries, posted half-centuries.
But the Bulls couldn't prevent the Redbacks notching their first victory in any cricket since February last year - they didn't win a game in the one-day cup or Shield last season.
