Left your Mother's Day shopping to the last minute?
Macarthur Square might be able to help you.
The Campbelltown shopping centre has several Mother's Day activities ongoing to aid shoppers in their quest to make Mum's day this year.
With Mother's Day falling this Sunday, May 9, shoppers only have a few days left to get everything squared away.
IBISWorld estimated Australians spent an average of $78 each on their mums in the pre-Covid world of 2019.
Macarthur Square predicts the figure will be even higher this year, as many locals attempt to make up for their socially-distanced celebration last year.
"The pandemic has highlighted the importance of the people in our lives," centre manager Trevor Hill said.
"Celebrating mums, now that we're able to, feels more special than ever.
"We're expecting our shops, cafes and restaurants to be busy leading up to and on Mother's Day.
"Customers will be wanting to put in more effort and money to thank mums and show them how loved they are."
The activities and services on offer this week include:
- Gift Wrapping in partnership with Lifeline - available until Saturday, May 8 during centre trading hours with a gold coin donation.
- Free Mother's Day flower plant from Ivy Florist with a $150 spend in the centre (available until May 8, 11am-2pm)
- Mother's Day Photo Competition - snap a photo at the Mother's Day set-up in centre for a chance to win a $200 Macarthur Square Gift Card. Competition closes May 9.
