Glamorgan had been revved up about the return of Marnus Labuschagne to the Welsh county's ranks - but it was another, rather less exalted Australian who has proved the star of their two-day victory over Kent.
Michael Hogan, a solid fast/medium-bowling servant for the Cardiff-based team who celebrates his 40th birthday at the end of May, proved deadly with a five-wicket burst that helped Glamorgan to a 10-wicket win in the county championship game on Friday.
The New South Wales-born Hogan, who took 2-33 in the first innings, was irresistible in the second, taking 5-28 in 10 devastating overs as Kent were skittled out for just 74.
For Kent, it was English cricket's oldest current professional Darren Stevens who celebrated his 45th birthday with his 30th first-class five-wicket haul.
On Thursday, Stevens had also got rid of Labuschagne, who had endured a miserable return to the team when he also suffered a hand injury when taking a tumble on some steps just before the start of play.
Stevens' figures of 5-53 ensured Glamorgan only took a first-innings lead of 59 runs, but then it was another veteran Hogan, the former Western Australia paceman who's become a firm favourite at Glamorgan, who stole the whole show.
The 39-year-old, displaying relentless accuracy, removed Jordan Cox lbw, had captain Daniel Bell-Drummond caught behind before he bowled England international Zak Crawley - who failed to play a shot - for just a single.
Hogan also had Ollie Robinson caught behind by Chris Cooke after tea as Kent slipped to 5-41 and then made it five when Jack Leaning looked disappointed to be given out lbw.
