Celebrity businessman Mark Bouris stopped by Emerald Hills last week for the official opening of Yellow Brick Road's latest location.
Mr Bouris, executive chairman of the wealth management business, helped cut the ceremonial ribbon of the Yellow Brick Road Leppington site, located at Emerald Hills Shopping Village.
The new business is run by Katie and Mel Falanga, and Dion Villiers.
Mr Falanga and Mr Villiers both previously worked as Westpac and were excited to have the opportunity to team up in a new venture.
Speaking at a launch dinner later the same night, Mr Bouris said he was honoured to be in town for the occasion.
"It is a big deal, I'm a very big believer in small business owners," he said.
"To be chosen by two ex Westpac people is a big deal. We're the only last-standing, remaining independent organisation [in this field].
"You can't convince people to do something they don't want to do. So, from my point of view, Dion and Mel, thank you very much for choosing us, it gives me a great deal of encouragement and enthusiasm.
"That's why I came out here today, to personally thank you. I appreciate it."
The dinner, at the nearby Amano Ristorante e Pizzeria, was attended by a host of finance and banking professionals, local businesses and Camden mayor Theresa Fedeli.
Cr Fedeli helped cut the ribbon at the store.
She posted on Facebook that she was honoured to be involved.
"It was great to attend the opening of Yellow Brick Road Leppington [last week] with Mark Bouris," she said.
"Camden is the fastest-growing area in Australia - we're welcoming more than 100 new residents every week.
