NSW Police have confirmed a 16-year-old girl missing from Eagle Vale since March 30 has been located safe.

They released a statement expressing gratitude for public assistance.

"Police thank the local community and the media for sharing our appeal," the statement read.

Police are appealing to the public for help to find a girl missing from Eagle Vale since last week.

Roumaysya Abdul Ghafur, 16, was last seen leaving her home on Chalcedony Street, Eagle Vale about 11pm on Tuesday, March 30.

Campbelltown police were notified of her disappearance and began inquiries into her whereabouts.

Roumaysya's family has concerns for her welfare.

She is known to use public transport for travel.

Roumaysya is described as being about 165 centimetres tall, of slim/medium build with a tanned complexion, brown eyes and black hair.

She was last seen wearing a black jacket with a fur hood, a navy blue skirt and a silver thumb ring.

She may be wearing a black hijab.

Anyone with information concerning Roumaysya's whereabouts is urged to contact Campbelltown Police Area Command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
