Find a bargain at charity pop-up boutique set to visit Wests Leagues Club

2020 was a tough year for many local families.

Dress for Success Sydney wants take away some of that stress and give women a chance to spoil themselves.

The not-for-profit organisation will host a pop-up boutique at Wests Leagues Club, Leumeah on Saturday, March 6 where women can purchase high quality, well-known clothing brands at bargain prices.

The organisation's fashion fundraising team leader Robyn de Szoeke said it was exciting to bring the event back after the Covid-19 pandemic put a stop to last year's sale.

"Coming out of Covid, I think this will be a lot of fun," she said.

"I think it's fair to say our donors have been very generous this year and we have a lot of really good quality stock.

"We have even been donated some really beautiful new lingerie with the tags still on.

"There will also be a free gift for all attendees."

The concept was created by the Rotary Clubs of Macarthur Sunrise and the Gregory Hills Next Gen to raise funds for DFSS.

The organisation provides a range of free services to disadvantaged women who are seeking employment.

Ms de Szoeke said there was something for everyone at this year's event.

"I think there has been a real surge in reusing and recycling - particularly with good quality clothing pieces," she said.

"We have clothes in all sizes and prices start at $10.

"It's not just high end corporate wear, we will also have other items."

The 2019 event raised $16,000 to support women in need.

Due to ongoing Covid restrictions, attendees must register for the event.

"We will be running three sessions and each session goes for 90 minutes," Ms de Szoeke said.

"People can purchase a ticket online for $11 but attendees will also get an $11 voucher to use so it will basically be free entry.

"We have this wonderful collaboration with rotary, and with Wests as our venue sponsor it's a great event.

"Money donations have slowed down a lot and we hope to raise funds to support women in need - and this is a great way to show your support."

The sessions begin at 9.30am, 11.30am, and 1.30pm.

Ms de Szoeke said due to an overload of stock shoppers will receive a 50 per cent discount in the final session at 1.30pm
