An exclusive, new crypt is in development at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Leppington.
The modern-style crypt has been under construction for more than a year, but it will finally open on November 2.
The Crypts of the Resurrection complex is the latest addition to the memorial park and features 326 indoor and outdoor crypt spaces, including three family vaults.
Forest Lawn Memorial Park family services manager Rob Matta said the Crypts of the Resurrection's design incorporated a mausoleum and courtyard areas.
He said the complex helped meet the local region's growing demand for crypt burials.
"There is also capacity to expand the complex to provide for future generations," he said.
"They provide dignity, peace and comfort for families where future generations can pay their respects.
"The tree-lined rolling hills that surround the complex are also home to an abundance of wildlife including swans, geese, ducks, turtles and rabbits - it's a wonderfully peaceful place to remember and reflect."
Mr Matta said the Crypts of the Resurrection had been on pre-sale since mid-last year with half the complex already sold.
"Many families have returned to purchase more crypts for the future," he said.
"Crypt burials are very popular with European communities. There is also a growing interest in crypts from traditional Australian families and other cultures."
