The federal government has rolled out a new way of presenting data on coronavirus cases.
The new data will be presented as a publicly available dashboard, listing the cases on a state-by-state basis.
It is being made available on the federal government's health website.
The changes to the data presentation were rolled out on Sunday and will be updated each afternoon about 3pm.
Among the new pieces of data will be the number of cases who are in hospital along with those in intensive care.
The number of cases in aged-care services, the number of cases under investigation for how they contracted the virus and the number of deaths will also be included in the daily data update all on the one table, which is available for download as a pdf.
Previous data updates included individual graphs and only focused on the number of cases by state, the total number of cases and a break down of the ages of confirmed cases and how they acquired coronavirus.
The data previously recorded as part of daily updates will also be included as part of the new dashboard updates.
The information is also available on the government's coronavirus app, which is free to download.
A coronavirus WhatsApp channel has also been set up by the government for people seeking information about the virus, including new case numbers.
The channel can be accessed by downloading WhatsApp and searching aus.gov.au/whatsapp in your internet browser.
