ABC medical expert Dr Norman Swan has been tested for coronavirus.
Dr Swan, perceived as being Australia's medical voice of reason as the COVID-19 pandemic has swept the nation, is now in self-isolation at home after developing symptoms.
"OK, so now I have to admit I'm at home because I do have symptoms and after I finish this I'm going to get tested," he told ABC Radio this morning.
Dr Swan, a multi-award-winning producer and broadcaster, is the presenter of the Health Report on Radio National.
His most recent recent project has been the ABC COVID-19 specific podcast, Coronacast.
Dr Swan's career has been highlighted by his desire to keep the Australian public informed of health developments as they happen.
