After weeks of hot, dry weather Macarthur received some much-needed rain over the weekend.
However the deluge caused flash-flooding in Picton, Cobbitty, Mount Annan, Catherine Fields, Rossmore, The Oaks, Bringelly and Camden.
Roads including Anthony Road, Rossmore Crescent, Cawdor Road, Kirkham Lane, Werombi Road, Silverdale Road, Avoca Road and Macarthur Drive remain affected.
Some roads are still closed with Wollondilly and Camden Councils providing regular updates via their social media pages.
Trees were downed across the region and roads were washed away in parts of Wollondilly.
Campbelltown residents were hit with more than 150mm of rain yesterday while Camden locals saw more than 180 mm.
More rain is predicted over the next few days and is expected to continue through to next weekend.
