Bad weather has hampered efforts to rescue three injured hikers from Tasmania's Cradle Mountain.
Three injured hikers will have to spend another night in the Tasmanian mountains following a second failed rescue attempt.
The hikers, believed to be from India and aged 28, 37 and 45, were struck down by hypothermia on Thursday in the Cradle Mountain region.
Bad weather has hampered efforts to airlift them to safety for a second day.
A rescue helicopter will be stationed at Devonport Airport should the weather improve and paramedics are on the ground providing the trio with medical treatment, Tasmania Police said in a statement on Saturday.
They are in a stable condition.
