Wollondilly Christmas carol events will delight all ages

Santa Claus is coming to town sooner than expected.

The jolly man in the red suit is expected to visit a few of Wollondilly's Christmas Carol events this year.

On Saturday, December 7 locals can make a trip out to The Oaks for the annual Light Up The Oaks Christmas Night.

The event will feature plenty of live entertainment for people of all ages, children's rides, market stalls and food and more.

Star Wars fans can also meet everyone's favourite droid - R2D2 - this year.

Light Up The Oaks kicks off from 4pm until 9pm.

Picton Community Christmas Carols will also be held on Saturday, December 7.

Last year's event attracted nearly 600 visitors eager to enjoy plenty of Christmas activities, carols and more.

This year's event will be held from 6pm to 7.30pm with gates open at 5pm.

Funds raised at the festive affair will be donated to headspace and Save the Children.

Wollondilly Council will host its inaugural Christmas in the Gardens event at the Picton Botanic Gardens on Friday, December 13.

The event will feature Twilight Markets from4pm with stalls, Christmas-themed activities and more. Santa will also visit the event.

Attendees are invited to bring along picnic blankets and chairs to watch a screening of How the Grinch Stole Christmas from 8.30pm.

Residents can also head out to the Wilton Carols on Saturday, December 14.

From 5pm attendees can enjoy plenty of free activities including a rock climbing wall, a petting zoo, pony rides, Christmas craft and more. There will also be lots of carolling and a visit from Santa.
