Looking for something a little different to spice up your Melbourne Cup day this year?

Look no further than the Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation Melbourne Cup Luncheon!

The event is being held at Campbelltown RSL to raise funds for the local charity, which purchases much-needed items for the paediatric unit at Campbelltown Hospital.

Kids of Macarthur chief executive Denise McGrath said the event was not to be missed.

"You should come along because you'll have a great time and support local children," she said.

"It's a chance to get behind a great cause in Macarthur."

The inaugural luncheon will help the charity supply medical equipment specifically requested by the hospital.

Ms McGrath said hospital staff provided the charity with prioritised wish lists several times a year, and events like the Melbourne Cup luncheon allowed Kids of Macarthur to fulfill the requests.

She said the day would feature a tonne of fun activities for attendees.

"We have the Christian and Bella, the breakfast crew from C91.3 coming to emcee the event," Ms McGrath said.

"We've also been cultivating a variety of sports memorabilia over the past couple of years that will be on offer for a silent auction at the luncheon.

"There's a special framed photograph celebrating Winx that is one of the highlights as well as some Black Caviar memorabilia.

"We've got a signed jersey from Graeme Langlands that comes with with a photogarph and history of his career.

"There will be other merchandise from various Melbourne Cup winners as well."

Ms McGrath said the day would also include a fashion parade, raffles, sweepstakes and plenty of opportunity to win prizes.

"If anyone leaves without a prize or some cash, they'll be very unlucky," she said.

Tickets to the luncheon on Tuesday, November 5 from 12.30pm-3.30pm are $100 per person, $1000 for a table of 10 or $1250 for a corporate table.

The price includes a seafood meal, champagne on arrival and an open bar.

The race will be shown on the big screen and there will be a tote available in the room.

Tickets for the event are selling fast, so interested people and businesses are encouraged to secure their places quickly.
