Megan Moody will be stepping down from her role as head coach of the Bendigo Braves women.
The announcement comes after Moody led the Braves women to a 19-1 record in the 2019 NBL1 regular season, with the team falling short of back-to-back championships after a three-point loss to the Geelong Supercats in the preliminary final.
Moody led the Braves women to championship glory in the 2018 SEABL competition, when the team defeated Launceston.
Moody said the decision to step down as head coach was due to time commitment involved in her new role with Basketball Victoria as the high-performance coordinator for Bendigo's hub.
"I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everybody involved with the Braves program, particularly the players I've coached, the Bendigo Stadium team and most of all, the Bendigo community for supporting the team over my two seasons as head coach," Moody said.
"I look forward to the continuing development of youth athletes in country Victoria, and in particular Bendigo."
Moody finishes her role as head coach of the Braves women's team with a 43-4 record.
