A "stoked" Tim Brook is hopeful his solid TCR Australia Series debut at Winton Motor Raceway last weekend will lead to more opportunities.

The Oran Park driver claimed a top ten finish in his first outing.

Brook is known for his prowess in the Toyota 86 racing series but this is the first time the racer has tried his hand at racing a Honda Civic TCR.

Brook was a last-minute addition to the race winning team but he managed to adapt to the front wheel drive quickly.

"I'm absolutely stoked with how the weekend went," he said.

"It was an incredible experience, and I the Wall Racing guys enough, it was an absolute pleasure to work with such a great team."

Brook qualified 12th for the opening race of the weekend which saw him line up alongside former V8 Supercar racers James Moffat and Russell Ingall.

He then powered his way to a ninth place finish in the competitive 19-car field.

Brook then proved the fastest of the Honda Civic drivers before a cut tyre forced him into the pits, resulting in a 16th place result in Race 2. He then charged back through the field to take 11th in the third and final encounter of the weekend.
