East Campbelltown Eagles Rugby League wrapped up an amazing weekend with their Reserve Grade squad defeating Minto Cobras 16-10 to win the NSWRL Sydney Combined Competition.

The first 40 minutes were tight with nothing much in it. Minto scored first points but the Eagles replied quickly with a try to Ali Lata converted by Adrian Harrison to hit the lead 6-4.

Minto levelled with a penalty goal and the scores were locked 6-all going into halftime.

After the break Vili Vai scored under the post for the Eagles and Harrison's conversion gave the Eagles a 12-6 lead.

The match winner came when Ali Latu ran 70 metres after being put through a gaping hole by veteran Ravi Prakash to score the try of the day.

Leading 16-6 with four minutes to go, the Eagles had a scare when Minto crossed to get the scoreline back to 16-10 but manged to hang on to be crowned the 2019 Premiers

It was a remarkable weekend for the club with four other teams - Under 9s Div 1, Under 10s Div 1, Under 11s Div 1 and the Under 15s - also winning premierships.
