The iconic Macarthur Lions Club Camden Community Fun Run is jogging to a different date this year.
The run is usually held around ANZAC Day however the 2019 event will be held at the Camden Bicentennial Equestrian Park on Sunday, September 8.
Macarthur Lions club member Alan Dean said the event was moved to coincide with the Camden Festival.
"We also hope more schools will be able to join in," he said.
"The run was usually held during the April school holidays so we struggled to get the schools on board but we hope more students will give it a go this time."
The fun run will help to raise much-needed funds for Macarthur Lifeline's 24/7 telephone crisis support services and suicide prevention call centre.
Participants can choose to run the 5km or 10km track.
"The running groups that usually take part often tell us it is one of the best races in the area," Mr Dean said.
"The track is really flat and it's all grassed - plus you have some really nice views."
Mr Dean said the event was for people of all ages, all abilities and all experience levels.
"We have people who bring their dogs or their kids, we have people who run with prams and we get people who dress up for the occasion," he said.
"People can walk or run - it's for everyone whether you're a serious runner or not."
There will be prizes on offer for the fastest finishers.
Last year's event attracted more than 600 racers.
"It's a chance to support Lifeline Macarthur and all the hard work that they do," Mr Dean said.
"There's a really good atmosphere, we have some music going so everyone has a really good time.
The race kicks off at 9.15am.
Participants have until 7pm on Saturday September 7 to register at: macarthur.nsw.lions.org.au.
