Man charged over alleged sexual act on train near Bargo

Police have charged a man over an alleged sexual act on a train near Bargo earlier this year.

The man boarded a train at Bargo railway station about 12pm on June 6 and sat next to a 16-year-old girl.

The man allegedly exposed his genitals and began committing a sexual act, but stopped when another passenger entered the carriage.

The teen got off the train at the next stop and the incident was reported to police.

Campbelltown Police Transport Command officers launched an investigation.

The investigation was undertaken as part of Operation Artemis, which targets sexual offences on the public transport network.
