Man charged over alleged sexual touching on train near Minto

A man has been charged over the alleged sexual touching of a woman on a train to Minto last week.

A 29-year-old woman was asleep on a train near Minto about 4.10pm on Thursday, August 8 when she awoke to a man touching her thigh.

The man allegedly touched her further in a sexual manner, before she moved away from him.

The incident was later reported to police and Police Transport and Public Safety Command's Strike Force Artemis officers launched their inquiries.

A man, 22, was arrested at Glenfield railway station about 3.35pm yesterday (Tuesday, August 13) after being recognised by Campbelltown police officers.

He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station and charged with sexually touching another person without consent, and common assault.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Campbelltown local court on September 9.
