Douglas Park/Wilton Razorbacks dig deep for Go Pink Round: Photos

There was a pink tinge at Douglas Park Sportsground on Saturday morning.

The Douglas Park/Wilton Razorbacks Football Club held a "Go Pink" Round to raise money and awareness for the Love Your Sister Foundation.

The foundation was co-founded by Connie Johnson, sister of well-known Australian actor Samuel Johnson, and aims to vanquish all cancers.

Razorbacks juniors and club members wore pink clothes or pink wristbands, while some people even dyed their hair pink.

There were plenty of junior soccer matches contested, as well raffles and sausage sizzles on the sidelines.

The club's coaches/managers coordinator Iain Johnson said the day helped raise about $3000 for Love Your Sister.

"It was an excellent day, a big success," Johnson said.

"Everyone got dressed up in pink and got behind the event."

Johnson told the Advertiser last month the Razorbacks were a "tight knit club".

"We have 160 juniors and one senior team, so we've a small club," he said.

"Everyone knows everyone at the club, we're a family club."
