Three Olympians led the charge at a prestigious equestrian event in Camden on the weekend.

The 2019 Camden Equestriad attracted more than 400 riders and their horses to Camden Bicentennial Equestrian Park on Saturday and Sunday.

Olympic riders Shane Rose, Stuart Tinney and Heath Ryan led a strong contingent of competitors at the prestigious event which included dressage, showjumping and cross country disciplines.

Rose, who was also the Equestriad's event director, said it was a great two days of competition.

"It was a really successful weekend," the Werombi resident said.

"We had lovely weather and it was a really good standard of competition. Everyone enjoyed it."

Rose said close to 20 classes were run across the two days.

"You compete at your level of competitions, from beginners and up," he said.

Rose said the Equestriad was a national level event.

"It attracts high level talent and is one of the more prestigious events in NSW, if not Australia.

"It's an event that allows people to prepare for the upcoming 2020 Olympics in Tokyo."
