It's fair to say that Ambarvale's Makedonka Stoilova has been a star at this year's Sydney Comedy Festival.
Stoilova has already performed two shows at the festival and has been asked to come back for more.
The 28-year-old will perform an encore show at Marrickville's Factory Theatre on August 3 at 7pm.
Stoilova made her Sydney Comedy Festival debut last year and said it was a "privilege" to be involved.
"I've had such a good time but it's been really hectic too," Stoilova said.
"Everyone loves the festival."
Stoilova wrote a new show for the 2019 festival and topics include dealing with anxiety.
"Everyone has a little bit of anxiety, including me," she said.
"The way I see it, we should not be ashamed to talk about it.
"I also like to poke fun at society's bandwagon culture."
Stoilova thanked everyone who had come to her first two shows.
"I have a really solid support network of friends and family, but I've also been getting people that don't know me turn up to my shows," she said.
"If there are even three people I don't know there, I feel so overwhelmed!"
Stoilova is a relative newcomer to the comedy world.
She made an "impulsive decision" to try stand-up comedy while she was living in Los Angeles, US, in 2014.
"It was around the time that [well-known comedian] Robin Williams died and I decided to try for open mic auditions," Stoilova said.
"I can't remember what I said, but I just wanted to get up and do it again.
"I started building my skills to write jokes and just kept going, because I'm not a quitter."
Stoilova now juggles her comedy commitments with her full-time job - being a location assistant for popular TV program Home and Away.
"I love performing and entertaining people," she said.
"I still get anxious in the preparation beforehand and you second guess yourself. It's me versus me pressure and everyone is guilty of it.
"But once I'm up on stage, I am fine. I just want people to enjoy themselves."
