A Corrective Services NSW employee has been arrested in Mount Annan and charged over an alleged relationship with an inmate at a prison in the Southern Highlands.
The State Crime Command's Corrective Services Investigation Unit (CSIU) launched an investigation in April following allegations an overseer employed at the Berrima Correctional Centre was involved in a relationship with a 35-year-old female inmate.
A 34-year-old man was arrested at a Mount Annan home on Friday, June 7.
He was taken to Narellan Police Station and charged with engaging in a relationship with an inmate and causing a safety risk to correctional centre.
He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear before Moss Vale local court on July 2.
