Are you keen to try a berries and cream beer? Or how about a cold one that tastes like coffee and doughnuts?

Macarthur residents can sample a great range of unique and tasty brews at this weekend's inaugural Macarthur Beer Day Out.

The beer celebration will be held at Camden's Upstairs at Fred's on Saturday from 11am to 4pm.

Venue owner Steve Wisbey said the event would feature local brewers such as Picton Pale Ale and Cedar Creek Cider, and three times Camden Show grand champion homebrewer Michael Hodge.

Mr Wisbey said well-known craft brewers including Stone & Wood and Wayward Brewing Company would also be on exhibition.

"People can try beers like a Sticky Nector, which is a hazy mango Indian pale ale," he said.

"I'm excited, it's the first time we've tried to do an event like this. I invite people to come and try the beers and see what they like."

Other highlights on Saturday will include a pig on a spit and pizzas.

Tickets are $20 each which includes a six-beer taster paddle.

The event will raise funds for Macarthur's Devlin and Craig Hough, who are preparing to compete in Cancer Council's Shitbox Rally this July.
