Police are appealing for public assistance to find a man who has been missing since Sunday and could be in Macarthur.

Ben Moses, 34, was last seen near Blakehurst Marina about 12.30am on Sunday, May 12.

Police believe Mr Moses may be in the Macquarie Fields or Port Kembla areas, and is likely to use public transport.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare.

Mr Moses is described as being of Caucasian appearance, slim build, tall with brown shaggy hair and a beard.

He has a tattoo on his right arm with 'Christopher' in text with full sleeve of roses/snake pattern.

Mr Moses also has a left shoulder tattoo, with a fish wheel with 'dad' in text.

He was last seen wearing chef pants and a grey and camouflage-hooded jacket.
