In just five days the Gregory Hills Town Centre was transformed from a shell of a shopping centre into an exciting hub of activity.
Crowds were gathered at the site before 9am, eager to get a look inside the new stores.
The town centre is home to a Woolworths supermarket, BWS store, a medical centre and more than 20 specialty stores.
The specialty retail mix at the centre, located on the corner of Gregory Hills Drive and Village Circuit, includes a variety of restaurants and cafes, health and beauty services, fresh food retailers, a newsagency and a real estate agent.
Dart West general manager Brad Page said he was looking forward to seeing people's reactions on opening day.
"It's exciting times for us," he said.
"A lot of work has gone into it, so to see this all come to fruition, and to come together better than it looked on the plan, is an exciting thing to happen."
The new Woolworths is set to be a flagship store for the supermarket giant featuring new technology and a new look.
There are even helpful robots roaming the store.
"It's a great thing because Woolworths has put so much faith in the area," Mr Page said.
"They have put so much time, money and research into what is coming to this store.
"It's something we're proud of and something for the community to be proud of."
The shopping centre will host a family-friendly event to celebrate its grand opening on Thursday, April 11.
