More than 300 of Australia's brightest young hockey stars will show their wares in Narellan this week.
The Under-15 Boys and Girls National Hockey Championships began on Monday, April 8 at the Macarthur Hockey Complex, Narellan.
The tournament, hosted by the Metropolitan South West Hockey Association (MSW) with support from Camden Council, will run until April 14.
MSW president Wayne Southwell said there had been some terrific contests during the opening two days of competition.
"There have been some upset results and great games in hot conditions," he said.
"Matches are being played at a high standard - we may see some future [Australian] Hockeyroos and Kookaburras out there this week."

Five Macarthur teenagers hope to impress on home soil during the championship.
Macarthur is represented by Ella Fielding (NSW Blue vice-captain), Holly Mills, Seb Moussa, Ethan Brooks and Jye Bashford.
Fellow local Sandy Parker manages the NSW Blue boys team, while Michael Little (assistant coach) and Kate Ryan (physiotherapist) are part of the NSW Blue girls coaching staff.
Macarthur's Zali Dunn will also umpire during the tournament, and Tammy Bashford and Ralph Perry are technical officials.
Southwell said it was great to see so many locals involved and MSW was proud to host the championship.
"There has been a lot of hard work put in by a core group of people to get the complex up and running," he said.
"I have been amazed by the work our volunteers have done."
MSW's promotions officer Claudia Hartas told the Advertiser last week that it was a great boon to host the championship.
"There is some exciting talent in town," she said.
"It's the second time we've hosted the championship, but the first time it's been held at the Macarthur Hockey Complex in Narellan."
