Colourful hair was a popular choice for students at Tahmoor Public School on Wednesday.
More than 300 students and staff took part in a World's Greatest Shave event to raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation.
Principal David Schofield and Year 6 student Tyler Smiles had their locks cut, while the other participants opted to dye their hair, face paint or get temporary tattoos.
Mr Schofield said the event helped raise close to $1000 for charity.
"It was a lot of fun and it was a very brightly coloured school on Wednesday," he said.
"It was very successful and we received great support from the local community."
It is the second successive year the Tahmoor school has participated in the World's Greatest Shave.
Mr Schofield and teachers Suellen Booth, Tracey Haywood, Stacey Esposito, Patricia Cook and Michael Maumill had their heads shaved. The 2018 event raised more than $3700.
Both World's Greatest Shaves were undertaken by Thirlmere's IconiX Salon hairdressers.
Mr Schofield thanked IconiX for its ongoing support.
