Not content with re-claiming the A-League ladder lead, Perth Glory now want revenge.
For the eighth straight week, the Glory sit in top spot after leapfrogging Sydney FC and Melbourne Victory with a dramatic 4-2 comeback win over a 10-man Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium.
They are three points clear of their nearest rivals with eight wins from 11 games and remain unbeaten on the road this season.
The only blight on their impressive record is a solitary defeat - a rare disappointment they hope to avenge on Wednesday night.
Instead of savouring their remarkable turnaround in Brisbane, Glory coach Tony Popovic quickly set his sights on their mid-week home clash with Sydney FC - the only team to have beaten them this season.
Popovic is clearly still smarting from the 2-1 home loss to the Sky Blues on December 21.
But he looked forward to turning the tables with his team still buzzing from a four-goal second-half onslaught sparked by Roar defender Daniel Bowles' 58th-minute sendoff.
"We are really excited about Wednesday's game against Sydney FC in front of our home fans," Popovic said.
"It's a short turnaround but I am sure our players will be ready for Wednesday.
"I think everyone at Perth Glory should be exited about Sydney FC coming to us on Wednesday night."
The Glory are the A-League's road warriors this season with five wins and a draw from their six away matches.
But Perth clearly sounded like they wanted to flex their muscle at home against the Sky Blues, who are third on the ladder but separated only by goal difference with No.2 outfit Melbourne Victory on 23 points.
And Popovic said lessons learned from their Brisbane triumph may just help them get over the line against Sydney FC.
Popovic urged his team at the main break to stick to their winning gameplan despite trailing 2-0 at halftime after a brace from ex-Glory striker Adam Taggart.
"Once we conceded the second goal we started to get anxious," he said.
"The talk at halftime was trust our game and believe in ourselves and that we could come back into the match - that was it, the players did the rest," he said.
"When you are down 2-0, to show that character, to come back and score four goals away from home - we are delighted."
