Bargo Sports Club has come up with the most Australian way to celebrate our national day this year.

The club will welcome Aussie music stalwarts The Black Sorrows on Australia Day evening.

The bluesy band will play the venue at 6pm on January 26.

Led by ARIA Hall of Fame member Joe Camilleri (previously of Jo Jo Zep and The Falcons), The Black Sorrows also features Claude Carranza, Mark Gray, John McAll and Angus Burchall.

The band, which launched in 1984, is known for songs such as Chained to the Wheel, MystifiedThe Chosen Ones and The Crack Up.

The Black Sorrows are one of Australia’s most enduring touring bands – featuring a rotation of members, but always Camilleri at the helm – and are a favourite of the festival circuit.

Tickets are $40 and available now. The club will also celebrate Australia Day with a barbecue, thong throwing competition, lamington-eating competition, kids rides and more.
