Narellan driver Ayden Elliott is thrilled to be back behind the wheel of a sprintcar in 2018.
Elliott made his 410 Sprintcars class debut in 2016/17 before turning his attention towards launching a Compact Speedcar career last season.
That itch to compete in sprintcars never went away and Elliott said he was excited to be back in the competition.
Elliott has teamed up with car owner Ian Saville, who offered the 22-year-old the driver’s seat in his J&J vehicle.
“I can’t thank Ian enough for giving me this opportunity,” Elliott said.
“I’m starting to re-familiarise myself with the sprintcar class and having a guy like Ian on my team is really making a big difference.
“I’ve learnt a lot from his experience, and his knowledge and guidance is invaluable.”
Elliott said his goal for the 2018/19 season was to put in consistent performances, which would make him eligible for feature races.
His next major race meeting will be the Valvoline Grand Prix and round six of the NSW Ultimate Sprintcar Championship on Boxing Day at Valvoline Raceway, Granville.
