One of the most divisive characters in Australian politics is coming to town.

Former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott will be the guest speaker at the next “On Tap” forum at Picton’s George IV Inn on Sunday, December 2.

Wollondilly Liberal candidate Nathaniel Smith organises the monthly On Tap sessions and said Mr Abbott was sure to draw a big crowd.

Mr Smith said the Warringah MP would make a 10-minute speech before participating in a question and answer session.

“Tony hasn’t been given a set topic but I think he will have interesting things to discuss,” he said.

"People will then have the opportunity to have their say to Tony and myself.

“It’s a chance for people to get something off their chest and we will do our best to have the answers.

“I think Tony will attract quite a few people."

The free session will begin at 2pm on December 2.
