One Macarthur swim club has launched a recruitment drive in the lead-up to summer.
The Mount Annan Swimming Club is on the lookout for more members to join and jump in the pool over the coming months.
Club publicity officer Cheryl Dale said Mount Annan had 150 members but more people were always welcome.
“We want our club to be known as the best in the area,” she said.
“It’s been a great for the club, we have kids who are regularly making state and national competitions.
“We want to promote the club and give the kids a pat on the back for their hard work.”
The Mount Annan club shares a close relationship with the Camden Amateur Swimming Club.
Both clubs’ swimmers train under the guidance of head coach Joseph Grant.
Mount Annan and Camden members train at Mount Annan Leisure Centre during winter while the summer season is based at the Camden War Memorial Pool.
Dale said Mount Annan members were grateful to use the Camden pool.
“It’s an important pool to a lot of clubs around Macarthur,” she said.
The Mount Annan Swimming Club holds club nights each Friday at the Mount Annan Leisure Centre.
Dale welcomed anyone interested to head along to the next event this Friday at 7pm.
“We have practise and competitive swimming events – it’s a really inclusive environment,” he said.
