Macarthur firefighters rescued a cow from a Menangle dam last night (Monday, October 29).
Four Fire and Rescue NSW crews were called out about 6.10pm following reports that a cow was stuck on the edge of a dam near the VC Partridge rest stop, next to the Hume Highway.
A Rural Fire Service crew and police vet also attended the scene.
A FRNSW spokeswoman said it took more than two hours to rescue the animal.
The spokeswoman said the cow was back on her feet and in good health.
