A man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in Glenfield this morning (Thursday, October 11).
Emergency services were called to a home on Grahame Avenue shortly before 2am and found a 43-year-old woman with stab wounds.
She was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
Campbelltown police officers established a crime scene and began their inquiries.
A 58-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he was charged with murder.
The man was refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court today.

She was treated by paramedics at the scene, where she was unable to be saved and was pronounced dead.
A 58-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Campbelltown Police Station.
Police established a crime scene at the address and detectives began investigating.
A police spokeswoman confirmed the woman’s two children were not home at the time of the incident.
A neighbour told the ABC it was a shock to wake up to the tragic news this morning.
“Finding out there is a fatality, it is so sad to hear that,” she said.
“It’s been a quiet area for as long as I have lived here.”
