Police have identified Minto as a hot spot for the distribution of an illegal hallucinogenic substance.
The NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research’s latest figures revealed Minto topped the state’s suburbs list for the supply of lysergic acid diethylamide, commonly known as LSD.
There were 27 LSD-related trafficking arrests made in Minto during the past financial year.
A NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research spokeswoman said the majority of arrests were made during a police raid in May 2018.
A NSW Police spokesman said police continued to work hard to remove illicit substances from all suburbs, including Minto.
“The best way for us to address the use of illicit drugs is by restricting access to them,” he said.
“Police will continue to target the cultivation, manufacture, supply and possession of illegal drugs at all levels.”

Minto was also fourth highest on the NSW suburbs list for cannabis trafficking, with 21 arrests in the past financial year.
Parkes led the way with 62 arrests while North Albury (26) was second and Flinders (23) third.
The NSW Police spokesman said officers ran several programs to target the supply of numerous illicit substances across the state.
“Police continue to run proactive, high-visibility operations utilising specialist resources,” he said.
“These resources include drug detection dogs as well as covert, intelligence-based operations.”
The Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research is based within the NSW Department of Justice and provides quarterly and annual reports on crime figures across the state.
BOCSAR’s latest report encompassed from July 2017 to June 2018.
The figures covered a broad range of crime, including drug-related offences.
Sydney suburbs dominated the drug trafficking offence figures.
Sydney’s CBD topped the state’s list for total drug offences with nearly 1200.
Darlinghurst was a hotspot for cocaine trafficking offences with 99 arrests made.
Sydney’s CBD and Darlinghurst shared top spot for esctasy trafficking offences with 45 arrests each while Albury had the highest number of amphetamines dealing arrests with 121.
Potts Point and Merrylands led the state’s list for narcotics dealing offences with 14 arrests apiece.
