The Frightnight Comedy Theatre has received a significant boost ahead of the team’s upcoming show in Macarthur.
Yesterday (Tuesday, October 9), Frightnight announced the addition of Australian actress Vanessa Davis to its cast.
Davis has more than 15 years of acting experience and is best known for her role as “Nessa” on the TV comedy show Housos.
She will make her Frightnight debut at the theatre’s next show at Campbelltown RSL Club this Saturday, October 13.
Frightnight Entertainment owner Shane Rendell said Macarthur residents could expect a “fun night out”.
Rendell said the variety show featured stand-up comedy, dancing, interactions with the crowd and a special finale.
“Our finale is a Rocky Horror Show tribute which is always a lot of fun,” he said.
Rendell said people of all ages were invited to come along but the show featured “adult humour”.
“Our show is not too scary but there is certainly a spooky factor involved,” he said.
“Children are most welcome but are warned there is adult content and a bit of swearing.”
Frightnight Entertainment began operating nearly 20 years ago and Rendell said the team had gained a solid fanbase.
“It’s an all-year round show and we are the most successful comedy show in Sydney,” he said.
"We've been around a long time and have a good following of fans.”
The Frightnight Comedy Theatre will perform at Campbelltown RSL Club on Saturday, October 13 at 6pm.
Tickets cost $59 per person which includes dinner.
