Man charged with allegedly filming women without consent in Campbelltown

A 20-year-old man has been charged after police allegedly found almost 40 videos on his phone of women in girls in the Campbelltown area who had been filmed without consent.

Police from Campbelltown City Police Area Command were on patrol at Macarthur Square when they were alerted to a man allegedly acting suspiciously.

The officers spoke with the Gwynneville man and seized his phone and laptop.

The man’s phone allegedly contained several videos of women girls at various locations in Campbelltown.

He was arrested and charged with 36 counts of filming private without consent and one count of behaving in an offensive manner in or near a public place or school.

He was granted conditional bail and will face Campbelltown Local Court on Monday, October 15.
