The Relay for Life has been a fixture of the Camden event calendar for the past 11 years.
But now the event has been cancelled.
A Camden Relay for Life spokeswoman confirmed the event had been cancelled, but would not say why the relay would not go ahead.
The annual event was a chance for survivors, families and community members to come together and raise vital funds for cancer programs and research.
Last year the relay had more than 480 participants and raised $83,000 which was used to fund Cancer Council programs such as the 13 11 20 helpline, which more than 100,000 Australians contact each year for information and advice.
The committee was completely community-based and volunteer operated.
