Musics lovers are set for a classical treat in Picton soon.

The Mirabella Trio will return to the Wollondilly Shire Hall for the next Classics at Picton concert on Sunday, July 22.

Hanae McLean (clarinet), pianist Kayoko Nishiwaki and violinist Saya Egushi make up the trio.

The group is no stranger to the shire – this will be the third time it has performed for Classics at Picton.

On this occasion, The Mirabella Trio will premier work by Japanese composer Sumino Kobayashi.

Kobayashi’s work was specifically written for the trio.

Classics at Picton committee member Geraldine Hunt said The Mirabella Trio had proven popular at past concerts.

“They understand their audience so well,” she said.

Hunt encouraged all classical music fans to head along next Sunday.

“These are friendly and informative concerts,” she said.

“People who don’t want to travel into the city can enjoy quality concerts in a social environment in Picton.

“It’s a beautiful day out and people love the intimacy of the shire hall.”

The Mirabelle Trio will perform on July 22 from 1.30pm at the Wollondilly Shire Hall.

The hall is located at 44-60 Menangle Street, Picton.

Tickets are $20 and will be available at the door.
