Get set to rock out in Campbelltown next Friday night.

Popular Macarthur band Guitar World Resurgence will headline a show at the Campbelltown RSL Club on Friday, July 20.

The Guitar World Resurgence band features any variety of the 15 or so musicians who call themselves members.

Resurgence will be supported on stage by Cobra Kai and the Leg Sweeps, Then Disconnect and local band False Devotion.

It is set to be a special show for Guitar World Resurgence, with the band celebrating its two-year anniversary.

Resurgence co-founder Dean Cecire said the group came from humble beginnings in 2016.

“We started as a bunch of friends getting together to play,” he said.

“Since then, other bands have jumped on board and it’s grown.

“Resurgence has encouraged other locals to start their own bands, open for shows and to network with other bands.”

Cecire said music lovers could expect a broad range of music on the night, from metal through to rock and pop.

“The band will play some crowd favourites,” he said.

Cecire said Resurgence highlighted the strength of the Macarthur music scene.

"Our collective community has worked together to keep the scene alive."

Doors open for next Friday’s event at 6.30pm.
