Man’s ear partially severed in alleged Macquarie Fields attack

A man is recovering in hospital with a partially severed ear after allegedly being attacked at Macquarie Fields last night.

The 30-year-old man was at the front of a property on Eurabbie Place about 6.30pm when a 23-year-old man allegedly attacked him.

The older man was allegedly stabbed in the face and back before the younger man fled.

The injured man drove to a home on Cottonwood Crescent a short time later and emergency services were called.

He was taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment on several puncture wounds and his partially severed right ear.

He is understood to be in a stable condition.

Campbelltown police established crime scenes at Eurabbie Place and Cottonwood Crescent before attending a home on Maple Place and arresting the 23-year-old after an alleged struggle.

The younger man was taken to Campbelltown Police Station and charged with wounding a person with the intention of causing grievous bodily harm and resisting arrest.

He was refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court today.
