Teens arrested over Tahmoor home invasion

Two teenagers were arrested yesterday in relation to a home invasion in Tahmoor earlier this year.

A man and a woman were in their Hunter Street home about 9pm on January 4 when two unknown men allegedly forced their way into the property.

The man was allegedly assaulted as the two intruders damaged property and demanded cash before fleeing with jewellery.

A police search soon after the incident failed to locate either of the intruders.

Police renewed their appeal for information on the two intruders earlier this month, releasing a digitised image of a man they believed could help with inquiries.

Yesterday, two people were arrested at their homes in relation to the incident.

An 18-year-old man was arrested at his home in Oran Park and charged with aggravated break and enter.

He was refused bail and appeared at Campbelltown Local Court.

A 17-year-old was arrested at Ambarvale and taken to Narellan Police Station.

He was charged with specially aggravated break and enter.

His bail was also refused and he appeared before children’s court.
