Macquarie Fields mum wins $1 million in Lotto draw

A Macquarie Fields mum has gotten the surprise of her life – she is now a millionaire.

More than two weeks after the winning Lotto numbers were drawn, the woman claimed her prize.

She held one of only two division one winning entries across Australia in Lotto draw 3750, drawn on Monday March 26.

Each entry won the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.

While the woman’s entry was registered, NSW Lotteries officials had been unable to contact her on the details provided.

Speaking to a NSW Lotteries official today to claim her prize, the winner explained how she discovered her life-changing Lotto news.

“I only looked at my entry this week when I checked the draw numbers online,” she said. “I couldn’t believe it!

“I was running and screaming throughout the house to tell my family.”

The regular player plans to use her windfall to pay off the mortgage and set up her family for the future.

The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning 50-game QuickPick entry, at Glenquarie Newsagency, in Macquarie Fields.

Glenquarie Newsagency owner Vincent Tran said he was thrilled the winner had been united with her prize.

“Congratulations to our winning customer. We’re so happy for her,” he said.

“We last sold a division one winning entry a couple of years ago so it’s great to see another win. And hopefully there’s another in the pipeline somewhere.”
