Harrington Park house fire on Saturday night; police find hydro crop

An investigation is underway after a hydroponic cannabis crop was found following a house fire at Harrington Park on Saturday night.

Fire and Rescue NSW personnel and police from Camden Local Area Command were called to Hambledon Circuit shortly before 9.30pm, and found a single-level house alight.

Once the fire was extinguished, more than 200 plants were discovered growing in sophisticated indoor enhanced hydroponic system in four rooms of the house.

The house sustained only minor damage and no-one was injured.

A crime scene was established and investigations are continuing.

Inquiries are now underway into the identity of the residents of the house.
