POLICE IN BRIEF | Man found with stab wound in Narellan


A man was found with a stab wound to his shoulder in Narellan on Friday night.

About 9.20pm emergency services were called to Wilson Crescent following reports a man was injured outside a home.

The 24-year-old was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

Initial inquiries led police to believe the man may have been injured elsewhere.


Additional charges have been laid against a teacher after he allegedly groomed and indecently assaulted students in Sydney’s southwest.

Child Abuse Squad officers laid a further 15 charges against the 29-yearold on Friday following extensive investigations.

Charges included aggravated indecent assault and procuring a child under 14 for sexual activity


A car crashed into the front bedroom of a house on Evelyn Street, Macquarie Fields on Saturday morning following a police pursuit.

A woman who was asleep inside was later treated for shock.

A passenger was taken to hospital but the driver allegedly fled the scene.

A further two passengers did not require treatment.

The house and another car were damaged.


A Minto teenager was issued a criminal infringement notice for offensive behaviour after allegedly urinating on a bush near two businesses in Narellan in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Officers were returning to Narellan Police Station when they spotted the 18-year-old run across the road from a hotel, unzip his pants and attempt to urinate on the station fence.

The man ran across the road and continued urinating when officers opened the gate.


A 63-year-old man was arrested and charged with committing an act of indecency at Macquarie Fields last Tuesday.

Just before 1pm police were called to Simmos Beach, Fifth Avenue, after receiving information a man was acting suspiciously in a nearby car.

The car was facing a park at the site, where there were two young children playing at the time.

Police allege the man was committing an act of indecency.

He faced court on Monday.


An indoor soccer match turned violent in Minto on Monday night when three players were left with serious injuries.

One team was comprised of four police officers and two civilians while the other was all civilian.

Halfway through the second half the police team scored a goal.

This caused a melee leaving one officer with a suspected broken jaw and head injuries, another with a suspected broken jaw and a third man with a suspected fractured elbow.


A woman’s wallet was stolen from her car as she took her sick pet to the vet at Tahmoor on Friday.

About 10.45am the highly concerned woman rushed her pet to the York Street vet and forgot to lock her car.

She left her pet at the vet and returned to her car to find her wallet was missing.

She allegedly saw a slim, blonde man in his 30s running away.


Thousands of dollars worth of damage has been caused to the roof and electricals at a shopping complex in Larkin Street, Tahmoor.

Between 9.30pm Friday and 6am Saturday, unknown people climbed onto the roof of the complex – which houses a take-away store, laundry and charity shop – and ripped out several TV antennas, throwing them to the car park, pushed air conditioning units off the roof and removed wiring from inside the units.


Drugs and weapons were allegedly found during searches of two properties in Spring Farm and Leppington last Tuesday.

A 40-year-old man was arrested at the Spring Farm property.

A shotgun barrel, rifle barrel, knuckle dusters, amphetamines, cannabis, MDMA tablets, cocaine and LSD were allegedly found at the Spring Farm house.

Cocaine, a loaded shotgun, loaded .22 rifle, .270 rifle and ammunition were found at the Leppington property.
