THE land at the centre of the controversial Islamic school proposal in Camden is for sale.
The six-hectare site on the corner of Burragorang and Cawdor roads has been listed on the market for $1,695,000.
Included is a three-bedroom, two bathroom house.
The house has high ceilings and three fireplaces.
The agent has described the property as a "renovator's dream".
The Quranic Society bought the land for $1.5 million. It lodged plans for a school for 1200 students which was later reduced to 900 students.
The application ignited heated debate throughout an 18-month process before it was rejected on appeal in the Land and Environment Court in 2009.
