We have exciting opportunities available in our Victorian network for Trade Account Managers Reporting to the Group Trade Manager, you will represent the Tait Mitre 10 brand in Melbourne’s growth corridors in the North and Western Suburbs.

About the role
Part of our growth plans in Victoria, these are new positions and we are looking for “Hunters” to build a new customer base for Tait Mitre 10 in these exciting growth corridors, you will be supported by a strong and stable team of sales professionals.

You will have previous external sales experience at a Sales Representative/Account Management level or similar capacity. Your ability to build strong relationships in a B2B environment within the residential building industry will see you succeed in this dynamic role. Having a passion for outstanding customer service will result in delivering the required sales targets and KPI’s whilst adding real value to our trade customers.
You will be an enthusiastic self-starter with proven results in driving sales growth in a target driven environment. A high level of verbal and written communications, great presentation skills and it is also a requirement that you are confident working independently as well as proactively within a team environment.

What you will be doing

  • Achievement of sales, margin and product mix targets
  • The ability to attract new customers in addition to growing existing business
  • Analysis of sales and customer data to identify new opportunities
  • Effective management of a diverse Builder centric customer base
  • Development and implementation of trade sales plans and initiatives
  • You will be responsible for communicating and representing the Tait Mitre 10 brand to our key stakeholders through sales meetings, training and industry events
  • Safety being part of our everyday culture

What you will bring to the role 

  • A strong ability to develop and maintain relationships and influence decision-making
  • An understanding and previous experience in Timber & Building materials
  • Previous experience in a similar sales role
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills are essential 
  • A sound business acumen with the ability to understand relevant financials

About Us
Mighty Helpful to the Trade – The Tait business and has been supplying Timber & Hardware materials to the Trade since 1905. We are part of the Metcash group of companies and broader Mitre 10 network made up of 700 stores nationally. Trade is a big part of our business and you will be joining a large network supplying Whole of House solutions to customers from Foundation, Frame, Lock Up, Fix, Fit Out and Landscape.
