Our Cross-Domain Computing Solutions Department is responsible for developing Body Computer Modules, Secure Central Gateways and Vehicle Security Products. With capabilities covering end-to-end the complete Development and New Product Introduction process we are managing and implementing global platform projects, tailored for our Original Equipment customers.

Job Description

We are currently offering an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Reliability Vibration Test Engineer. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based at our head office in Clayton and may involve occasional international travel.

This role is primarily responsible for the design and release of vibration test fixture of automotive products and producing results on time.

Position responsibilities will include:

• providing vibration related inputs for product development and design of new products, components, or systems
• generating vibration test plans, also contribute vibrate to DV/PV test specifications
• ensuring the vibration verification and validation activities matches the product compliance and requirements
• supervising or conducting vibration testing activities along with providing data, results, and conclusion in reports
• ensuring vibration test equipment and vibration systems are configured, calibrated, verified and available in time to manage the project timing and product quality
• investigating and recommending actions to improve product design to reduce cost, improve quality and increase productivity
• working with reliability test lab and engineering department to design and release of vibration test fixture
• analysing vibration test lab results and perform failure analysis

Qualifications

The successful applicant will be result oriented, have the ability to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines, be a team player and have excellent organisational and communication skills.

You should be able to demonstrate the following:

• tertiary qualification in Electronics/Mechatronic/Mechanical Engineering 
• understanding of international testing standards and specifications (i.e. ISO/IEC, DIN, JASO) is advantageous
• experience in design for test & design for production, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment
• trained with  2D & 3D mechanical drawings and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• understanding in Programming Languages (C#, C++, Python, VBA, Labview etc.) is advantageous
• knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 standard is beneficial
• strong communication skills
